Craddock Hall (under restoration)

Location: Richmond, North Yorkshire

This Grade II listed townhouse in the heart of Richmond is being carefully renovated and restored to its original grandeur, following years of unsympathetic alterations that had seen the property divided into several flats.

The project involved re-establishing the building’s original layout and reinstating its dramatic central staircase — a key architectural feature that had been lost. Period detailing was uncovered and sensitively repaired, with traditional materials and craftsmanship used throughout to bring the house back to life.

Working with listed buildings brings unique challenges — from heritage constraints to structural complexity — and we’re experienced in navigating these with care and confidence. The result is a home that once again reflects the elegance of its original design, while being fit for modern family life
