Role: Partner & Founder

Matt is a chartered architect with over 15 years’ experience delivering thoughtful, context-driven design. He founded MBA to offer clear, honest guidance and architecture that quietly improves everyday life.

Matt’s work is rooted in a deep respect for place - responding sensitively to landscape, history, and local character. Whether working on rural sites, listed buildings or new homes, he brings a calm, collaborative approach and a clear design vision grounded in context and purpose.

He leads each project from first sketch to final key, balancing creativity with clarity at every stage.

Role: Partner

Plays a central role in the day-to-day running of the practice, helping to manage the office, oversee accounts, and keep operations running smoothly.

With a background outside the architectural world, she brings a grounded, pragmatic perspective that supports both the business side of the studio and its long-term direction. Her clear thinking and calm presence help guide decisions that reflect not only professional standards but also real-world priorities.

From financial oversight to operational support, Victoria is a steady influence and an essential part of how we work, grow, and stay focused on what matters most - our clients, the integrity of our work, and the future of the practice

While we remain a small and focused studio, we’re supported by a trusted network of consultants, makers, and specialists who share our values and commitment to quality.

Depending on the needs of each project, we collaborate with experienced structural engineers, planning consultants, heritage specialists, landscape designers, sustainability experts, and more. These relationships allow us to tailor each team to suit the project, ensuring the right expertise is in place from the start.
