Bespoke Family Home

Location: Newsham, North Yorkshire

A small-scale residential development of three new homes on the edge of a historic village in Richmondshire, designed to enable multi-generational living within a carefully considered rural setting.

The scheme includes a two-storey family home with integrated annex accommodation, alongside two dormer bungalows — all positioned to create a sense of community while maintaining privacy and generous outdoor space.

Constructed using high-performance Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) and finished with locally sourced stone facades, the homes achieve excellent energy efficiency while blending naturally with the local architectural character.

The site lies adjacent to a conservation area, and the design responds thoughtfully to its setting — respecting the historic character of the village and the wider landscape context. Full landscaping and a cohesive material palette tie the scheme together.
